Our dedicated PTA meets regularly, with the meeting dates being announced at the beginning of each new year. Members of the PTA are actively involved in supporting our school by organising school events and activities throughout the year and also by offering their services during field trips and special celebrations, for which our teachers are exceptionally grateful.
The teachers are always very thankful for additional assistance from parents, particularly during field trips and special celebrations.
In the main Reception area of the PYP building, notice boards with information regarding weekly events, upcoming meetings, local advertisements, additional clubs and services in the area, the names of the class representatives and other useful reminders, are available for all visitors to view. These provide a wonderful opportunity for our ISZN community to maintain awareness of events that are imminent and also to discover any current requests or opportunities.
What is PYP (Primary Years Programme)?
A new CCA (Co-Curricular Activity) designed to ‘unpack’ the curriculum we offer to our Primary students with the purpose of giving our parents clarity on exactly what we do at ISZN and especially …..why we do it!
The IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) is a curriculum framework designed for students from the ages of 3 to 12 and focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, both in the classroom and in the world outside. It aims to inspire and equip students with what they will need to be successful, lifelong learners and responsible global citizens.
