ISZN is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Martha Ross as the next Head of Primary at ISZN effective from August 2021.
Martha is currently Head of Primary at Amadeus International School, an IB World School in Vienna. She previously served as Deputy Head of Primary at Vienna International School and has also worked in International schools in Hong Kong and Italy.
A committed advocate of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme, Martha’s doctoral research project examined inter-cultural competencies in international education – a project that was awarded the Jeff Thomson Research Award for contribution to international education. She is also a qualified EQ coach and a Council of International Schools (CIS) accredited Safeguarding Lead.
“I am very much looking forward to join the ISZN community in August and to meet every student and their families. This is a very exciting opportunity to join the Cognita organisation, with all the opportunities that this global network brings to the school and our pursuit of learning and development for every student.”

In securing this position, Martha was successful against an incredibly strong field of candidates. We received 49 applications for the post, 18 of whom were serving Heads of Primary schools. The strength of the field reflects the growing reputation of ISZN and the attractiveness of Cognita as an employer.
Martha will be collaborating closely with Rebecca Nolan and other members of the Senior Leadership Team between now and August in order to ensure a smooth transition into post.
