Originally from Derry, Northern Ireland, Clare grew up in a family passionate about education. Her father was a university professor and her mother a primary teacher who went on to become an educational psychologist. After graduating from Queen’s University Belfast, she taught English in South Korea and travelled across Asia and Australia. Clare completed her PGCE at Newcastle University and taught in Manchester before pursuing international teaching opportunities in Madrid, Abu Dhabi and Warsaw.
Clare has been part of ISZN for three years and became Deputy Head in 2025. She is currently undertaking the National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL). She is dedicated to supporting students and values collaboration with colleagues and families. Outside school, she enjoys travelling and spending time outdoors with her husband and two young sons.
