Welcome to the International School of Zurich North
A British International School in Zurich from Nursery to A-Levels
At ISZN, we offer a complete educational journey for children aged 3 months to 18 years, combining the structure of the British curriculum with a caring, international environment in Zurich.
From our dual-language Early Years foundation through to IGCSEs and A-Levels, students benefit from small classes, individual attention, and a clear pathway to universities in Switzerland and around the world.
Located just minutes from central Zurich, our school brings together families from over 35 nationalities, creating a welcoming community where students develop confidence, academic strength, and a strong sense of belonging.

#ISZNInsights | How does a new city begin to feel like home for a child?
For international families, settling into Zurich is about more than practical arrangements. Children build confidence through familiar tram routes, favourite playgrounds, repeated visits to the same Badi, and small moments of independence.
Summer gives them more opportunities to explore, practise simple German, join other children, and create routines that make the city feel less unfamiliar.
In our latest blog, we explain how everyday summer experiences can help children settle into Zurich and feel more connected to their new home.

#ISZNInsights | What does academic progress really look like?
Exam results matter, but they do not tell us where a student started or how far they have come.
In our latest blog, we explain how ISZN uses baseline assessments, regular progress reviews, teacher observations and individual support to measure value added and understand each student’s learning journey.

#ISZNNews ISZN Summer Camp: Up, Up and Away 🚀
A bottle rocket countdown. A jet built from recycled materials. A paper airplane that flew further than expected.
The first two weeks of ISZN Summer Camp brought flight to life for our Pre-K to Grade 2 campers through hands-on challenges, creative building, and field trips in Zurich.
Each activity gave campers space to test ideas, work together, and see science in action.

#ISZNNews | Lake Day! ☀️
Our students enjoyed a wonderful Lake Day in the sunshine, with paddle boarding, volleyball, frisbee, football and French boule.
As we get ready to go our separate ways for the summer, these moments feel even more special. A lovely day outdoors, full of fun, friendship and time together by the lake.
