Daniel Nowell is the Deputy Head of Secondary at ISZN, having joined the school in August 2023. Originally from England, he completed a degree in Computer Science before training as a teacher through a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).

Daniel has worked internationally for more than 15 years, most recently in Qatar, and has held a variety of leadership roles, including Head of Department, Activities Director, and Progress Leader. He is committed to challenging students and creating opportunities for them to grow academically, personally, and socially. At ISZN, he oversees all external examinations and supports students as they navigate their future pathways, including IGCSEs, A-Levels, and university choices.

A passionate sports enthusiast and qualified basketball coach, Daniel is currently developing girls’ basketball at ISZN. Outside of school, he enjoys a relaxed lifestyle and spending time with his two dogs, Maya and Oscar.
