Last Friday our Pre-K to Grade 5 students celebrated German Language Day with imagination, colour, and joy.

Children arrived dressed as German words, turning the school into a moving dictionary of creativity. They filled our Word Wall with new vocabulary, played language games, and enjoyed exploring German in playful and meaningful ways. The day ended with a lively assembly where students shared dances, songs, and stories that brought the language to life.

The event was led by our German teacher, Paulina Zdobylak, who reflected, “The children showed such energy and enthusiasm. It was wonderful to see how much they enjoyed expressing themselves in German and how confidently they celebrated their learning together.”

German Language Day highlighted the spirit of multilingualism that is alive and well at ISZN. By engaging with languages in such a dynamic way, our students discover the joy of communication, the power of words, and the confidence that comes from sharing learning as a community.
